The french horn is a brass instrument made of tubing which is wrapped into a coil. The ones used in SP Symphonic Band are pitched in concert F.
In order to maintain the ease of transporting the instrument, some french horns are designed with detachable bells. Also, did you know that if unwrapped, the french horn would be the longest instrument in SP Symphonic Band?
